Nautilus Minerals, a seafloor exploration and development company, is committed to being Community Accountable, Responsible Environmentally and Safe. We strive to operate in a manner that ensures we contribute positively to the communities in which we operate, maintain environmental care and ensure zero harm to people working in or with our business.
An independent Environmental and Social Benchmarking Analysis, written by Earth Economics, states that the Solwara 1 Project has the potential to significantly reduce social and environmental impacts compared to terrestrial copper mines. An interesting aspect of the Solwara 1 Project, and something that sets it apart from traditional mining projects, is that no people will be displaced, there will be no impact on food production, surface or groundwater fresh water supplies.
The Nautilus CARES program was established as part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and serves to highlight the Community, Environment and workplace Health and Safety initiatives associated with our activities. The CARES Program governs the way we work and how we do business. It is also a cultural program ensuring people and companies that work with and for Nautilus Minerals are Community Accountable, Responsible Environmentally and Safe.
